Collaboration, technology and coffee = endless possibilities

Congratulations to Ed Brill

October 6th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized

I just got this in the LotusUserGroup.org Newsletter.

As of today, Ed Brill is the new Director, End-User Messaging and Collaboration; a promotion that makes Ed responsible for primary end-user focused offerings and to continue and grow the Lotus brand’s footprint and competitive stance in the end-user collaboration marketplace.

In his new position, products under Ed’s umbrella include Lotus Notes/iNotes, Lotus Symphony, portions of Project “Atlantic”, traveler, and others.

Most recently, Ed was the Business Unit Executive, Worldwide Lotus Notes Sales for Lotus. Prior to that Ed spent more than 2 years as a Senior Product Marketing Manager for the Lotus brand, and before that was a Product Marketing Manager for Notes all the way back to Lotus Notes R5 software. His roots are as a Systems Engineer for Lotus Development Corp. back in the early days of the mid 90s and a Network Engineer for US Robotics before Joining Lotus. Ed is also a member of the LotusUserGroup.org Advisory Council.

Ed has been a long-standing pillar in the Lotus community, promoting and evangelizing the Notes/Domino line and, maybe more importantly to some, maintaining an aggressively public posture to ensure the Lotus community is fully informed of the IBM Lotus strategy, strengths, and roadmap.

So, be sure to check out Ed’s announcement of this promotion on his blog and congratulate him ( http://www.edbrill.com/ebrill/edbrill.nsf/dx/i-have-a-new-job?opendocument&comments )
