Internet Explorer 7 auto-deployment imminent
January 29th, 2008 Posted in Browsers, Operating SystemsMicrosoft has informed the public that it will push out Internet Explorer 7 via the Windows update service. In order to ensure the widest deployment of the browser update, Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) validation has been disabled. There is a way to prevent the update from reaching the end-users. To do this, administrators will need to disable the disable the auto-approval rule before Feb. 12.
